The Creature of Kapu Cave Death Scenarios

This is an unavoidable spoiler, but there are a limited number of possible deaths in The Creature of Kapu Cave, and some of them are creative. You may not have experienced all of them, and may be curious. (-: So, here's a list:

*Nancy can fall into the lava in Kapu Cave if you fail to activate the statue.
*Nancy can be killed by a dart if she fails at the elements puzzle.
*Nancy can be crushed by a giant stone ball if she either fails at the turtle puzzle or succeeds at it but fails to hide afterwards.
*Frank can drown if you take the wrong path during the underwater maze, or if you just sit around underwater till he runs out of air.

You can also lose the game without dying if Nancy fails to mute Dr. Craven's PDA and is caught snooping, or if she walks too close to the yellow-suited workers while escaping from the greenhouse and is caught by them.

Easter Eggs and Optional Actions

There weren't any easter eggs per se in The Creature of Kapu Cave, but there are a number of actions you can take in the game which are entirely optional to the plot. To give them a try, follow this link: The Creature of Kapu Cave Options.

Spoilers: Plot Holes

There wasn't really all that much of a plot in Creature of Kapu Cave (Nancy is really just exploring unusual things she happens to come across, and the Hardy Boys are on an assignment they never learn anything about until it is exposited during the endgame.) However, there is one major plot event in the game which is never adequately explained: why Johnny Kuto attacks Joe in Mike's office. It's completely unbelievable that Kuto would have mistaken short, skinny blond teenager Joe for tall, fat, adult Hawaiian Mike. Nor would Kuto have any interest in punishing Joe for snooping around Mike's office. His vague explanation to Frank on the phone is just that Joe "was in the wrong place at the wrong time." Was Kuto trying to rob Mike and had to get Joe out of the way, maybe? This part was exciting but it just did not make sense.
