Land of the Little Folk, the

Also known as 'Ti'Ashentes', this idyllic land, the ancestral home of Ataniel's gnomes and halfling, was annexed as a Cynystran province in the third century B.E., for the most part with the agreement of its people. Though there has traditionally been very little conflict between the little folk and other Cynystrans, discontent appears to be on the rise in the Land of the Little Folk since the Madness, as some resent the Cynystran government's decision to concentrate protective measures in Cynystra proper and leave the province undefended. Laran Raimonde, King (see also the Collector)

King Laran was the last emperor of Dalencia, plotting with the group known as Tres to institute a global fascist rule. When this was discovered, the empire was torn apart and Laran deposed. He was last seen fleeing the city with Tres.
--Who's Who V1

And the next time anyone saw him, he was an undead creature in the service of Odn, one of the wonderful Tres junta he fled with. Lie down with villains, wake up with maggots...
--Khyrisse Starshadow

I don't mean to imply that this old schmuck has bad dental work or anything. Let's just say his dentures spend more time underwater than Greg Louganis.

Deceased Lian (see also Sunny)

Lian Lithanden Tweedy was the young, mixed-race Nylevian bard who would become the first Sunfighter. She came from a matriarchal band of human and elven gypsies, had spent two years travelling the banks of the Aljhain on the Diari perimeter, and was married to her producer, Gordon Tweedy.

Lich Lords, the

There have been three Lich lords in recorded history. Legend has it that the creation of the Great Fissure and the Doomlands were a result of the war with the first Lich Lord over 5000 years ago. The Second Lich Lord's fortress is at the center of the Vadril Ocean. Who knows if he still exists. The third Lich Lord was defeated when he was forced through the gate to Limbo that lies at the bottom of the Charoc whirlpool in Diaria Bay.

Shalak, Marzoom and Dransaerin. May their names be cursed. The Three Lich Lords. Shalak was the first and is said to still exist in the place between the worlds. Marzoom's fortress lies in the center of the Vardil Ocean. Marzoom was the only of the three Lich Lords who were not of Diari origin. Nobody knows for sure if he still exits, but evil hangs around his fortress like a fog. Dransaerin was the third and weakest of the Lich Lords. He was banished to the Plane of Chaos and presumed destroyed. Let us all hope that we never hear from the three of them again.
--Talmir Salri, priest of Rekzyr

Lilith was Lucifer's second-in-command. A dangerous and extremely competent woman.

Lucifers old second-in-command, she has assumed control of Hell in his absence. She is still looking for her lost souls (including most of Bloodscar), and cant count worth a damn.

One of the "five psionics in all Ataniel", Lotus was a member of the Ravagers, but upon the defeat of Malcar, she escaped with Edyric of the Web and joined them. She encountered the Sewer Tour twice again before the Web was defeated. Lotus escaped with Edyric and their present whereabouts are unknown.

Short for the Lycanthrope Self-Regulatory Investigation Agency, it is a group of lycanthropes responsible for keeping other lycanthropes within the bounds of society. Noyarc is a member, as is his boss Gordon Cole.
--Who's Who V1

The LSRIA, or Lycanthropic Self-Regulatory Intelligence Agency, is a group of weres devoted to the improvement of lycanthropic lifestyles across Ataniel. We also assist other authorities in the investigation and resolution of were-related crimes. We have even assisted the Sewer Tour and Trade Heroes Guild in the past, most particularly by one of our first class agents, Agent Noyarc.

Deceased Lucifer

Lucifer is, was, the supreme ruler over Hell, and not an entity to be trifled with.

Killed during Ragnarok.
--Hillary Sturoster, filing clerk of Annwyn

Luthien Mageson

Luthien was one of two ex-gladiators hired as security on an early mission into the Giant lands that the then-unnamed Sewer Tour accepted. Both chose to stay, effectively forming the group. Luthien was a truly bitter, twisted man, the son of an necromancer and the bearer of his evil legacy, who had twice been turned down by the priesthood of Arawn and was planning on suicide as soon as he found and killed his father. He had the ability to regenerate vampirically from damage done to an opponent either by hand or with a specially enchanted spear, and he had a necromantic sigil which looked a little like the Grateful Dead sign on the palm of his hand from the curse of his father, for which reason he always wore gloves. His outlook began to expand somewhat as his relationship with Rhynwa deepened, and he ultimately rose above his troubled beginnings to become one of the greatest of the Ataniel mages and a truly impressive man.
--The Chronicles of the Sunfighter

The greatest set-up man a jester ever had. He's enjoying a big personal joke on the world, and the joke's on you, imperfect one!

I've never fully understood our friendship, only that I'm very lucky to have had it.

Deceased Luthien the Dead

Alternate-universe lich-lord analog of Luthien. Luthien the Dead--from the same dystopic future as Ember and Shilree B--recently hijacked Rip Hunters Time Sphere and came back through time to attempt to create a paradox to bring himself into being. At this he failed, and his timeline was destroyed by Ember, Shilree B, Norna of the Skeins, and the Sunfighter, among others; Rip Hunter, however, remains missing.
--Who's Who V2

Carried off kicking and screaming by an insane Valkyrie.
--Hillary Sturoster, filing clerk of Annwyn

Deceased Luxiphron
